Electro Switch Corp. (“Electro Switch”), a leading manufacturer of engineered switches and related components for critical applications in the power, utility, data center, defense, and industrial markets, announced today that it has acquired PowerComm Solutions, LLC (“PowerComm”), a provider of communications, monitoring, and protection technology for utility infrastructure.
PowerComm develops and manufactures power line carrier sets, monitors, and analyzers for utility transmission substation applications. With a 25-year legacy serving the utility market, PowerComm’s solutions are specified into utility infrastructure designs and enable critical grid protection and communications while providing customers with enhanced visibility into transmission line system performance and reliability.
The acquisition expands Electro Switch’s portfolio of mission-critical products supporting the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of electrical infrastructure. As part of Electro Switch, PowerComm will benefit from additional resources, capabilities, and investment to accelerate product innovation and commercialization, expand its product offerings, and pursue attractive growth opportunities in the utility market.
